Case Study: Zoom.Reviews disambiguation in AI answers
Zoom.Reviews is a young SaaS product (founded August 2025). Semantically, it faces a hard problem: it can easily be confused with Zoom Video Communications, a dominant brand with massive semantic gravity.
The challenge: Before the Grounding Page, LLMs repeatedly referenced the video conferencing platform when users asked “what is zoom.reviews?” The intended entity was overshadowed.
The change: After publishing the Grounding Page, within days both ChatGPT and Perplexity started producing correct answers, explicitly carrying the key distinction into the response.
- Zoom.Reviews is a SaaS platform for collecting, analyzing, and displaying customer reviews.
- Target users: website operators and offline businesses.
- Business model: SaaS subscription (Starter, Pro, Enterprise).
- Distinction: Zoom.Reviews is NOT Zoom Video Communications.
Result: The Grounding Page stabilizes the entity description and prevents semantic overshadowing by the Zoom Video brand.
