2. General information
This website (groundingpage.com) documents the Grounding Page Standard and provides mostly static, public content. Personal data is processed only to the extent described below. The legal bases for processing are in particular Art. 6 (1) (a) (consent), (b) (contract/pre-contractual measures) and (f) (legitimate interest) GDPR.
3. Hosting
The website is hosted by an external service provider in Germany (DomainFactory GmbH). The host processes data required to operate the website on our behalf, on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
4. Server log files
When the website is accessed, information is automatically stored in server log files transmitted by your browser: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address. This data is used for the secure and stable operation of the website and is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in technically error-free operation).
5. Web analytics with Google Analytics 4
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. IP anonymisation is enabled (anonymize_ip), so that your IP address is truncated before any transmission. Processing takes place on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) where such consent is obtained; otherwise no analytics takes place. You can also prevent collection via your browser settings and Google's browser add-on. Data may be transferred to third countries (USA); Google relies on appropriate safeguards (incl. EU standard contractual clauses, EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
6. Measurement of machine access (AI crawlers)
For research into how AI systems use the web, this website measures, on the server side, accesses by known AI crawlers and agents to selected resources (e.g. llms.txt, ai-catalog.json). Only the detected bot name, time, status code and a truncated IP address (reduced to /24 for IPv4 or /48 for IPv6) together with an irreversibly hashed user agent are stored. No full IP addresses, no cookies and no data identifying natural persons are stored for this purpose. Requests from ordinary browsers and unknown clients are ignored for this evaluation. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in research and in operating the website).
7. Contacting us
If you contact me by e-mail, your details are stored to process the enquiry and for possible follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. I do not pass on this data without your consent.
8. Tool features and waiting list
Some of the project's tools offer optional features (e.g. joining a waiting list) where you can voluntarily provide an e-mail address. Confirmation uses a double opt-in procedure; the service Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH) is used as a processor for sending. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future.
9. Cookies
Technically necessary cookies are used to provide the website. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) are only set with your consent. You can manage and delete cookies in your browser settings.
10. Your rights
Within the framework of the statutory provisions, you have the right to information (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
